The Department of Anaesthesia at Hawke's Bay Hospital will be increasing the number of Consultant Anaesthetists in 2010. Applications are invited from suitably qualified Anaesthetists to join our existing staff of 14 Consultants and 7 Registrars.
We are looking for applicants intersted in a full-time role.
Hawke's Bay Hospital has 400 beds with all the major specialties represented on-site except Neurosurgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery, serving a regional population of 150,000. It is a modern hospital with a Level II Intensive Care Unit, 6 modern operating theatres + endoscopy suite with 'state of the art' anaesthetic equipment.
Hawke's Bay is famous for its weather, wine, food, cultural events and outdoor recreational activities. It is a great place to bring up children with a number of excellent schools. The cities of Napier and Hastings are thriving cosmopolitan centres. Overall the Hawke's Bay offers an enviable lifestyle for you and your family.
Applicants must be registered, or eligible for registration, with the New Zealand Medical Council as a Specialist Anaesthetist and a fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (or equivalent).
