6 and 12 months positions
Hawkes Bay Hospital is a 400 bed Regional Hospital on the east coast of New Zealand's North Island. All specialties are on site except Cardiothoracics, Plastics and Neurosurgery.
The Emergency Department sees 35,000 attendances a year, with a 34% admission rate. The general patient acuity is high and we see a significant amount of major trauma. The Emergency Department runs 5 observation unit beds.
We are accredited for Provisional and Advanced training with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine and offer a regular and protected teaching programme.
You will join a team of 5 Emergency Physicians, 8 Registrars and 7 SHO's.
