Hawkes Bay Hospital, situated on the East Coast of the North Island of New Zealand, is adding another General Physician / Gastroenterologist to their team - could it be you?
Serving a local population of 150,000 you will be presented with a wide variety of cases to make sure that this is a challenging yet rewarding role. Working with 16 other specialist physicians you will be part of a team providing a high level of care across many subspecialties, while also working on the 1:12 General Medicine acute roster. In this role you will be well supported with a Medical Registrar and a House Officer as part of your consultant led team.
Within the Gastroenterology subspecialty you will work alongside one other Gastroenterologist, who is well supported by our 5 General Surgeons and 5 Surgical Registrars.
This is a great opportunity for someone to come and make their mark through professional development of this service at Hawkes Bay. The team are very open to ideas and suggestions to help develop this service further. Opportunities and support networks exist for ongoing research as well.
Hawkes Bay Hospital is one of the larger hospitals in New Zealand at 400 beds, boasting a 40-slice CT Scanner and 16-Channel MRI as an example to the diagnostic tools available.
This is a fulltime permanent appointment but expressions of interest in short or fixed term employment are also welcome.
